Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information 1522 Coffee LLC (“we,” “us”) collects through 1522.coffee, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: this website itself collects very little. It has no accounts, sign-up forms, advertising, or analytics, and it sets no cookies. When you buy, checkout happens on Square.

What this website collects

Nothing that identifies you, directly. Like every website, our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically processes basic technical information when your browser requests a page (your IP address, browser type, and the page requested) in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don’t use this information to identify or track you.

Our fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page does not send your information to any font or other third-party service.

When you buy

“Buy now” takes you to a checkout page run by Square, our payment processor. Square collects what you enter there (typically your name, email address, shipping address, and payment card) and handles your card details under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number.

Square shares your name, email address, shipping address, and what you ordered with us. We use them only to fulfill and ship your order, send you order updates, and handle any return or question about it.

When you email us

If you write to hello@1522.coffee, we receive whatever you choose to include, and use it only to reply to you. Our email is hosted by Google (Gmail).

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information.
• We don’t use tracking pixels, advertising tools, or analytics that follow you across sites.
• We don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.

How long we keep it

We keep order details and correspondence only as long as we need them, and delete them when they’re no longer needed or when you ask us to, unless we’re required to keep something by law (for example, sales records for tax purposes).

Your choices, including deletion

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that’s wrong;
• delete your information.

To make a request, email hello@1522.coffee with the subject “Privacy request” from the address you used with us. We’ll confirm it’s you, act on it, and reply within 30 days. There’s no charge. We will also ask Square to delete order records it holds on our account where the law allows; you can contact Square directly as well.

If you’re in the EU, UK, or a US state with its own privacy law, you may have additional rights under that law, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We’ll honor them.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Changes

If what we collect changes (for example, if we add a newsletter or analytics), we’ll update this page before the change takes effect and change the date at the top.
